Bishop David Oyedepo’s Biography- Bishop David Oyedepo is a Nigerian Pastor, Christian author, and the president of Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel. The International headquarters is in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria.

Its is reported to be the single largest auditorium in the world by the Guiness Book of Records, with a capacity of 50,000.


Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo was born in Osogbo on the 27th of September 1954, though he is from Kwara State, His father, Ibrahim was a Muslim healer, and his mother, Dorcas, was of the Cherubim and Seraphim.

Bishop Oyedepo was raised by his grandmother in Anglican Church. His grandmother imparted Christian virtues in him, and also helped him to establish a strong spiritual foundation, that is helping him in ministry today.

He studied Architecture at Kwara State Polytechnic, now known as Kwara State University.
He got his Ph. D. in Human Development from Honolulu University, Hawaii, USA

Christian Life
Bishop David Oyedepo Biography-Bishop David gave his life to Christ on the 19th of February 1969, at the age of 15, under his teacher Ms Betty Lasher.
As a Secondary School student, he suffered from tuberculosis, which made his mates to shift their beds far from him. This made him to challenge God for healing, which He did.

Marriage and Family

Bishop David got Married to Pastor Faith Abiola in 1982. Their union is blessed with four children; two boys and two girls namely David Jnr., Isaac, Love, and Joyce.
His two sons were ordained to be pastors in May 2007 by Kenneth Copeland

Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr. Is married to Kemi Olubu-Oyedepo.
Pastor Oyedepo Jnr. Is incharge of the London branch of the church.
He is also the Regional Overseer of the European Network of churches.

Pastor Isaac Oyedepo currently heads the Winners Chapel International, South Africa.
He got married to Ayomitide Omogbadegun in 2010

Love Oyedepo-Ogah is also active in her Father’s ministry, though she is not an ordained pastor in the ministry.
She got married to Stephen Ogah, who is one Bishop Oyedepo’s personal aides.

Joyce Oyedepo is the last child of her parents, she studied in America and also active in the Father’s ministry. She is also married.


Bishop David Oyedepo Biography-Bishop started his ministry in 1981 after an eighteen hour vision he got in May 1981, where he said God gave him the mandate to go and preach the word of faith and deliver the world from the oppression of Satan.
Living Faith Church was formerly known as Liberation Faith Hour Ministries in 1981.
He was ordained together with his wife to be a Pastor two years after by Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

He was ordained to become a Bishop five years later.
His church first started in Kaduna, but was later moved to Lagos in July 1989.

His ministry has four private jets, estates, restaurants, shopping centers, commercial properties, bakery, educational institutes etc.

Bishop’s Church in Ota has a seating capacity of 50,000 people. It was reported to be the largest church auditorium by the Guinness Book of Records in 2008 and 2009.
The Church was built and completed within 12 months.

Faith Tabernacle is located in Ota, Ogun state, The land is about 5,000 acres in size. The Church auditorium,schools including Covenant University, is built within the perimeter of the land.

David Oyedepo is the richest Pastor in Nigeria, according to Forbes. He has a net worth of over $150 million. Bishop Oyedepo is also the richest Pastor in the world.
His ministry has four private jets, and many other buildings around the globe.
