Bernard Arnault’s net worth 2020 Forbes
French billionaire Bernard Arnault’s net worth rose by roughly $2.9 billion Tuesday after his luxury goods company, LVMH, reported record revenues for 2019.
Arnault finished the day with $108.7 billion to his name, according to Forbes’ Real Time Billionaire rankings, after shares of LVMH rose 2.74%. LVMH, whose brands include Louis Vuitton, Moët & Chandon and Dior , reported $60 billion (€53.7 billion) in sales for 2019, a 15% jump from 2018.
The company’s most profitable product line was fashion and leather goods, which reported revenues of $22.2 billion, up 20% from 2018.
Even with the jump in Aranault’s net worth, he’s still the world’s third-richest person — behind number one Jeff Bezos and number two Gates .
Arnault briefly became the richest person in the world in December, just weeks after LVMH struck a deal to accumulate American jeweler Tiffany & Co.
In November, Arnault appeared on the cover of Forbes, speaking about his start in business within the 1970s at his family’s Roubaix construction firm and his path to launching LVMH.
